15th Annual Heli Rally

Activities

As this is our 15th Annual Helicopter Rally, some new events will be held. First, we will be running an FAI competition based on the MAAC rules. The rules can be viewed by following the link below. Please give us some feedback on which class you would like to enter and/or which you would like to see. The format is as follows:

FAI competition

FAI Rules

Total of three trials will be flown, each a maximum of 9 minutes. Of the three trials, your best two will be counted to determine the winner. Since this is also a fun fly, there will be allotted time for the FAI trials throughout Saturday and Sunday. Since there will be limited time for the competition, all pilots must be ready to start when there turn is up. Remember, this is still just a friendly competition to try to promote the betterment of everyone's flying skills.

Saturday

Pilot Registration $5.00
FAI competition Round 1 - 9-10am (exact length TBD depending on number of pilots)
Open Flying and Beginner's Clinic 10am till 3pm
FAI competition Round 2 - 3-4pm
Open Flying and Beginner's Clinic 4-11pm
BBQ & Campfire Usually starts around 6pm

Steak BBQ - $10.00 per person
Bring your own spirits

Night Flying Demonstration starting around 11pm

Sunday

Breakfast served by Carseland Lions Club $ 3.00 per plate.
FAI competition Round 3 - 9-10am
Open Flying and Fun Fly Events 10-6pm
Demo Flights by Modellers
Draws and Prizes start at approx. 3pm
